Are you up to the challenge of putting your empathy into practice at the TEARS Animal Rescue Sleepathon TEAM CHALLENGE 2017?
TEARS Animal Rescue (The Emma Animal Rescue Society) is one of the country’s leading organisations; its mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home domestic animals, as well as provide veterinary services to local communities.
When and where is the #TEARSsleepathon?
FRIDAY 24 or SATURDAY 25 MARCH 2017. Where you will spend 10 hours in a kennel, from 21h00 to 07h00 – with toilet breaks.
This event which is held yearly, is once again taking place at TEARS Sunnydale headquarters (that’s just past Fish Hoek) and their Wenga Farm cattery (just up the road from HQ).
How many people in a team?
Any size team between 3-20, with each individual taking part has to raise R200 sponsorship for each of the 10 hours they spend in a kennel.
The team, on the other hand, can challenge their company to match part or the total of their individual donations, challenge other companies in their industry, or ask their customers/clients to get behind their sleepathon.
The aim of the #TEARSsleepathon is:
1. Raise funds to channel into the lives of the most desperate dogs and cats in the southern peninsula.
2. Carry out an act of solidarity with all those dogs who at this moment suffer illness, injury, neglect and violence, and who have found no relief yet.
