• #Vlog : MCQP – Candyland Theme Costume Ideas

Cupcakes, pudding and sweeties, it’s a chocolate decadence that will hit Cape Town on Saturday 19th December as MCQP’s party theme was launched as Candyland.

MCQP is celebrating its twenty-second birthday with an all-things-sweet theme at the East City Precinct of Harrington street in December.

Gingerbreadman Director, Ian McMahon, says the team is ready to “lay the icing on thick” for this very special occasion.

“This year, we wanted to go back to memories from our youth, with bright colours, sweets, chocolates and all things sweet – all things nice as we whisk you away to a fantasy land of sugar delights” expect Turkish Delights, suckers, ice lollies and your fair share of sweetie pies at the event” he said “I’m sure you’re set to see some real eye candy”

Visitors can expect a night of bliss, with candy cane décor and bright decadent costumes. With 8 music areas laid out across the space including Assembly, Dragon Room and other venues in the street – each with its own theme and music style.

With the Table Mountain as the backdrop, partygoers can get dipped in the delights of 110 local and international DJ’s, artists and performers.

About 9 000 partygoers are expected to attend. Tickets can be purchased from the website and start from R350 for an early bird special. Although no VIP’s this year – there are 300 limited “Quality Street” tickets where there is an open bar ALL night (+ more entitlements fit for a king) for your pleasure as well as 12 Royal Sweets where the sugar teams get their own space for the entire grand performance. Each box holds 20 people.
